Roads are going to get a little bit busier in Northeast Rochester, Minnesota thanks to the new McDonald's. If you haven't heard, the grand opening was just announced for the new McDonald's at 2180 Wheelock Drive NE!

Everything You Need to Know About the Grand Opening of the New McDonald's in Rochester, Minnesota

I just drove by the new McDonald's and the place is about ready to start serving up burgers and fries to the masses! In fact, the grand opening is happening this week and there are a ton of freebies up for grabs.

Below is what you need to know about the huge grand opening in Rochester:

Opening Day is Thursday, October 12th at 6:00 am
Grand Opening Festivities are from Thursday, October 12th until Saturday, October 14th
- Thursday:
  - First 50 people in line that are 16 and older get free Big Macs or Egg McMuffins for a year. (Lobby only and 1 per week for 52 weeks.)
  - 9:30 am - ribbon cutting
  - 11:00 am - free Coca-Cola sunglasses for the first 100 vehicles in the drive-thru
  - scratch-offs for drive-thru and kiosk transactions throughout the day at various times.
- Friday:
  - 11:00 am - FREE Dr. Pepper Merchandise for the first 100 vehicles in the drive-thru
  - 11:00 am until 1:00 pm - earn prizes at the parking lot party
  - scratch-offs for drive-thru and kiosk transactions throughout the day at various times.
- Saturday:
  - 11:00 am - free Tyson chicken $10 coupon for first 50 people in the drive-thru
  - 2:00 - 3:30 pm - Meet & Greet with Hunter McElrea, IndyNXT Race Car Driver
  - 3:30 pm - Prize Drawing (register throughout the grand opening - must be present to win)
