ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild will open the 2015-16 season on the road.

The Wild open the season at Colorado against the Avalanche on Oct. 8 and then return for their home opener against the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 10.

The National Hockey League announced the home openers for each club on Wednesday. The complete NHL schedule will be released Thursday.

The Wild beat division rival St. Louis in the first round of the playoffs 4-2 this spring. Minnesota beat division rival Colorado in the first round of the playoffs the year before.
