Oakland, CA (MNN Sports) -- The Minnesota Twins are back in action tonight as they begin a six-game road trip with a three-game series in Oakland against the Athletics.

Ervin Santana will get the start versus the A's tonight, facing off against Sonny Gray.  Coverage on 1340 KROC AM begins at 8:30 tonight with the pre-game show.

After the three contests in Oakland, Minnesota moves on to a series against the Angels in Anaheim starting on Tuesday. The Twins are 49-and-40 on the year, and are four-and-a-half games behind the Royals for first in the AL Central.

As for the rest of the races, the New York Yankees are 3.5 in front of Tampa in the East, the Angels have a 1/2 game lead over the Astros in the West.

Over in the national league, Washington has a two game lead over the Mets in the East...the Cardinals are 2.5 in front of Pittsburgh and the Dodgers are up by 4.5 in the NL West
