PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — Two northern Minnesota teens have died in a head-on crash on an icy road in Hubbard County.

A Laporte boy and a Bemidji girl, both 16, were heading south on Highway 71 around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver, who hasn't been identified, lost control, veered into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming truck.

Minnesota State Patrol says both teens were killed in the crash. Their names haven't been released.

The driver of the truck was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.
