The temporary change was in effect in November and December to encourage residents and visitors to do their holiday shopping in downtown Rochester.

The measure’s goal was also to encourage shoppers and diners to spend more time downtown.

The order impacted the city’s parking ramps. The city offered downtown visitors two hours of free parking in the ramps during the holiday season.

Starting Tuesday the free parking window in the downtown parking ramps will return to less than 60 minutes.

City officials are reminding residents that parking in the downtown Rochester ramps is free after 5 p.m. on weeknights. Parking in the downtown ramps is also free on weekends.
