Steve Lange, aka Juke Box Hero, wandered into the KROC-AM studio Wednesday morning and joined Tracy McCray and Andy Brownell for the Rochester Today show.

Steve is the editor of Rochester Magazine and he did a column in the the most recent magazine regarding the latest addition to the family fun room in the basement of his home. He picked up a 1970's-era jukebox and has been slowly filling the 100 slots available for 45 RPM records in the vintage music machine.

While it was entertaining to read about just how hard it was to move the jukebox into the basement of his home, it was more fun to talk about the songs the Lange family has chosen to install in it. Steve says is youngest daughter's current favorite is the Barry Manilow hit "Copacabana," which he admits to be weary of hearing. Some of the other gems programmed into the Lange family jukebox are Chuck Berry's "My Ding-A-Ling," "May the Bird of Paradise (Fly Up Your Nose)," and another Barry Manilow staple, "Mandy."

Both Tracy and Andy happily supplied Steve with a list of other songs he should consider adding to the collection... including any song by Roger Miller, "Convoy," "Chevy Van," "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia," "Billy Don't be a Hero," and "Tracy" by the Cufflinks.
