Rochester Police Request Public’s Help in Racist Graffiti Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department has issued a call for the public's assistance with a high-priority investigation.
A police spokesperson says investigators are asking for help in identifying the person or persons responsible for a racist display in the city last weekend. It involved plastic cups pushed through the chain link fencing on the pedestrian bridge over East Circle Drive near Century High School to spell out a racial slur.
A news release indicates a passerby spotted the racist lettering around 6:20 AM Sunday and called 911 to report it. At around the same time, a State Trooper was driving by and stopped to remove the offensive graffiti.

It was stated during a community forum on Wednesday that there were no surveillance cameras in the area. The news release says Rochester Police are now placing a mobile camera in the vicinity for surveillance purposes.
