Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was taken to St Marys Hospital on Sunday after being found unresponsive in the median of Highway 14 near Cub Foods.

The 26-year-old told police officers he had been attacked by two men and one of them hit him over the head with a tree branch. Police say doctors treated the man for a head injury that led to bleeding on the brain.

The attack happened around 9 a.m. Sunday at Bear Creek Park and was witnessed by a man who told police he saw the victim jump a fence as he tried to get away from the men but they caught up with him and assaulted him.

The victim was not very cooperative when interviewed by police and only gave vague descriptions of the two men who attacked him.
