Undated (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota was one of only a few Midwestern states to experience improving economic conditions in September, and had the region’s highest overall economic index in the latest Mid America Business Conditions Survey.

The respected monthly report put the state’s index last month at 53, which was up just over one point from August. The data found healthy growth among durable goods producers, including metal manufacturers and companies making computer and electronic equipment.

The author of the report says the results over the past several months point to solid, but not spectacular economic growth for Minnesota through the rest of the year.
