Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The polls will open at 7 o’clock Tuesday morning for the 2018 statewide primary election.

Voters throughout Minnesota are being asked to narrow the field of candidates for both of the state’s U.S. Senate seats, Governor and Attorney General. The ballot also includes primary races among both Democrats and Republicans seeking to represent the 1st Congressional District in Congress.

Locally, the ballot includes the Mayor’s position, along with the First and Fifth Ward seats on the Rochester City Council. Primary elections will be needed in two of the four races for seats on the Rochester School Board and there is also a primary for one of Rochester’s State House seats, where veteran Democrat Tina Liebling faces a challenge from fellow Democrat Abdulkadir Dahir Abdalla.

The polls will close at 8 pm. KROC-AM will list all of the results as they become available on at KROCAM.com.
