When NOAA makes a prediction that means that it's true, right?

NOAA has officially predicted that our Minnesota winter will be warmer than average! Yay! I enjoy winter for the most part but when it's so cold that your face hurts, that's not a good time.

The reason NOAA is saying that this winter will be a warmer one is because of "a weak El Nino-type system." NOAA says that El Nino "refers to the large-scale ocean-atmosphere climate interaction linked to a periodic warming in sea surface temperatures across the central and east-central Equatorial Pacific."

Now the question we all want to be answered: how snowy will it be? Well that NOAA doesn't know quite yet, "there’s no clear trend one way or the other."

How do you feel about this prediction that we'll have a warmer winter?
