Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester Public Utilities held a ceremony Monday to mark the addition of another well to its water supply and distribution system.

This new well is located east of RCTC and was built at a cost of $850,000.  

It produces approximately 1,000 gallons per minutes. As growth continues in the SE area, the well can increase its production up to 1,800 gpm. It was also designed to to pump boosted pressure water into the Rose Harbor High Level System.

The 470 foot deep well gets its water from the Jordan Aquifer.
