ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota couple accused of giving marijuana to their infant have been sentenced to short jail times.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports 32-year-old Richard Martin and 32-year-old Molly Martin were ordered to serve 41 and 11 days in jail respectively.

A criminal complaint against the couple says police in February found seven marijuana plants growing in their St. Paul basement, along with paraphernalia, scales, dried marijuana and marijuana wax. According to a criminal complaint, Richard Martin told police his 1-year-old baby smoked marijuana and he would rather give his baby the drug than Tylenol.

The newspaper reports Richard Martin pleaded guilty to fifth-degree drug sale in October and was sentenced earlier this month to spend 41 days in jail, starting after Christmas.

Molly Martin received her 11-day jail term in November after she pleaded guilty to child endangerment.
