Minnesota Man Killed by Truck Tire
BACKUS, Minn. (AP) — A northern Minnesota man has died after a tire came off a dump truck and struck him last week.
The Cass County sheriff's office got a call for medical help at a home in the Backus area on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say 74-year-old Charles Linn of Backus was struck by the tire as he stood at the end of his driveway. The driver of the dump truck did not know that the tire had come off.
Linn was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where he died. The truck driver was not hurt.
