Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Spring Valley man is scheduled to be sentenced in May for an alleged sexual assault at a Rochester treatment facility.

37-year-old Loren Sarazin reached a plea agreement with Olmsted County prosecutors on Friday and entered an Alford plea to a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge involving coercion. In exchange felony counts of false imprisonment and indecent exposure, along with a gross misdemeanor count of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct were dismissed.

The Alford plea means Sarazin does not admit that he is guilty but he acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict him.

According to the criminal complaint, the sexual assault at the Oakridge Meridian Treatment Center in Northeast Rochester occurred last May. A member of the staff at the facility told investigators that Sarazin blocked her from leaving his room while he exposed himself to her and began performing a lewd act.

It was also alleged that Sarazin picked the woman up and attempted to undress her before she managed to break free from him and run out of the room.

Court records indicate Sarazin has a criminal history that includes convictions for felony counts of domestic assault, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, along with weapons violations, burglary, and theft. He is scheduled to be sentenced in May.
