DETROIT (AP) — Tommy Milone held Detroit scoreless until the ninth inning, and Minnesota broke through with five runs in the seventh to beat the Tigers 6-2 last night.

Brian Dozier hit a two-run homer and Eduardo Nunez had three RBIs.

Milone (3-2) went 8 and 1/3 innings in the win. Down 6-0 at the start of the inning, Detroit scored twice and loaded the bases with one out. Brandon Kintzler struck out James McCann and Jose Iglesias to end it.

Anibal Sanchez struck out 10 in six-plus innings but falls to 5-11 with the loss.

The Twins and Tigers wrap up the three game series today with a noon-time game.  Ervin Santana will be on the mound for the Twins.  Pre-game coverage begins at 11:30 on Newstalk 1340 KROC AM.
