Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the two men convicted of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl in Rochester two years ago has been sent to prison.

24-year-old Timothy Bremer of Arlington Texas was convicted of first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct and second-degree criminal sexual conduct by an Olmsted County jury last December. The conviction stems from an attack on the girl at Bremer's former apartment in Rochester in January 2021.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, the teenage victim was exchanging text messages with Bremer when she agreed to visit him at his residence to smoke marijuana on the afternoon of January 30, 2021. The girl told Rochester Police  investigators that she discovered another man was at the apartment when she arrived and she went with Bremer into his bedroom because she felt uncomfortable about the presence of the other person.

The charges alleged that Bremer then made sexual advances toward the teenager, who responded by trying to push him away. She told police that Bremer then positioned himself between her in the door before the second man, who was identified in court documents as 26-year-old Dejuan Gray, entered the room and both men assaulted her.

The criminal complaint indicated the juvenile girl eventually found an opportunity to escape and ran out of the apartment to her vehicle.

Bremer went before an Olmsted County judge this afternoon and was given a 90 month prison sentence with 10 years conditional release following the completion of his prison time. He was given credit for the 87 days he spent in jail after his arrest.
