MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com)  Amanda Leveille earned a 28-save shutout as the No. 3 Golden Gophers and No. 8 Fighting Hawks skated to a scoreless overtime tie at Ridder Arena Saturday evening.

North Dakota picked up an extra point in the WCHA standings with a 2-1 shootout victory.

UND won the 11-round shootout, 2-1. Amy Menke scored on the first shootout attempt, and Amanda Kessel scored for the Gophers in the second round to tie it at 1-1. Charly Dahlquist then scored the shootout-winner for the Fighting Hawks in the 11th round.

The game marked the first-ever tie between the two rivals as Minnesota leads the all-time series, 48-8-1 after a win and a tie this weekend. The game was also the first time the Gophers were shut out this year.
