University Park, PA (Learfield) -- The top-ranked University of Minnesota volleyball team blew first and fourth set leads and saw 15th-ranked Penn State upset the Gophers three-sets-to-two.

The home-standing Nittany Lions rallied to claim the opening set 29-27 before Minnesota took sets two and three to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Gophers jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the fourth set and things looked good. P-S-U then went on a run to claim the fourth set 25-14 and the final set 15-10.

The Gophers fall to 12-and-2 overall and 4-and-1 in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions are 13-and-3 overall and 5-and-0 in the league. Minnesota, which had an 11-match winning streak halted last night, will host Northwestern on Sunday.
