Flu Activity Continues to Decline
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Flu activity in Minnesota declined for a second straight week, indicating the flu season likely peaked earlier this month.
The Minnesota Department of Health has downgraded its rating of flu activity from “widespread” to “regional” in its latest weekly update on influenza activity.
There was another sizable decline in flu related hospitalizations, which totaled 65 during the past week. That is the fewest number of hospitalizations reported since early February. The department also noted it received only five reports of probable outbreaks in schools and for confirmed outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
