Fatal ATV Wreck in NE Minnesota

BIWABIK, Minn. (AP) — Authorities in northeastern Minnesota say a 37-year-old man has died in an all-terrain vehicle crash.

The crash was reported around 7 a.m. Saturday in rural Biwabik Township. The St. Louis County sheriff's office says a bicyclist noticed the ATV sitting in a creek with the motor still running.

The driver was found dead in the water. He was alone on the vehicle.

Authorities say the ATV apparently veered off the road, went down a steep ditch and hit a tree before ending up in the creek.

The name of the victim was not immediately released. Authorities are still investigating.
