Class A Section 1 Girls Tennis Update
The Class A Section 1 girls singles and doubles tennis tournament has reached the semi finals. Both Lourdes doubles teams are still alive.
Sydney Allison and Ellen Gorman of Lourdes defeated K.Hodgen-A.Walter of Trinity 6-0,6-0 and R.Breiholz-E.Fry of New Life Academy 6-0,6-0.
Lourdes' Clare Palen and Natalie Allison had a bye 1st round and then beat J.Pedelty-R.Schwalbach of Stewartville 6-0,6-0
In singles, Molly Belda of Lourdes defeated Kaylee Muenzhuber of Lake City 6-0,6-0 and lost to Katie Mulvey of Trinity 6-0,6-0. Katie is the #1 seed and ranked 4th in the state.
Anna Clayton of Lourdes lost to Cindy Li of Winona Cotter 6-1,6-1. Cindy was the number 2 seed and ranked 6th in the state.
The semi final round will be next Tuesday (10/18) at the Rochester Athletic Club
