Minneapolis, MN (Minnesota News Network)  --  Minnesota Christmas tree growers say it's been a good year for them.

Minnesota Grown's Paul Hugunin says the wet spring in 2015 will be good for the crop of future Christmas trees , too.  Many Minnesota tree farms opened for business Friday to start the season.

It doesn't have to be only about finding that perfect tree.  Hugunin says most local tree farms offer other family activities, like sleigh rides, games and visits with Santa Claus. There is a list of 56 tree farms and retail lots online at MinnesotaGrown-dot-com.
