The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court Friday, says the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office took a report from a young girl and her mother after the girl found a camera hidden on a bookshelf in her bedroom in May of 2022. The girl, described to be under the age of 15, told investigators she had not placed the camera there.

Investigators later learned that 42-year-old Justin William White had been staying at the victim's residence in Eyota a couple of weeks prior to the camera discovery to borrow a vehicle belonging to the victim’s mother. The charges say a review of footage captured by the hidden camera shows White setting it up in the young girl’s bedroom and manipulating it to face the shower in the home’s bathroom.

The camera did capture a video of the girl undressing in the bathroom, the complaint says. White told investigators he bought the camera in April of 2022 and admitted to placing it in the minor’s bedroom and in the home’s bathroom.

He estimated having 15 videos captured by the hidden camera and said he would set up the camera then retrieve it.
