Blizzard Ends in Northwest Minnesota, Frigid Weather Next
Undated (KROC AM News) -The blizzard that hit a large area of North Dakota and northwest Minnesota Tuesday is winding down after dumping heavy snow and producing whiteout conditions.
Some roads were still closed Wednesday morning and numerous schools were shut down for a second straight day. At one point, a 300 mile stretch of I-94 across North Dakota was closed.
While the Fargo-Moorhead area received just a few inches, other areas are reporting totals of 6 - 18 inches.
Very cold air is now expected to move into the storm zone. Temperatures are expected to fall below zero Thursday and stay there until Saturday.
Southeast Minnesota is also expected to experience sub-zero temperatures next week, the first of the season.
