The mercury finally climbed to the freezing mark in Rochester just be midnight Friday, ending a streak of below freezing weather that began on Veterans Day.

The 10-day stretch during which the temperature failed to reach 32-degrees is tied with 1996 as the 3rd longest on record during the month of November in Rochester. The record of 12 straight days of below freezing weather in November was set in 1978.

Earlier in the week, Rochester set a new record for consecutive days in November with observable snow at 11.
