Marion, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities today released the name of the man who was arrested as the suspect in an armed robbery near Rochester last Friday afternoon.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old Dezmon Johnson about an hour after the holdup was reported at the Jeff’s Little Store in Marion around 3:20 p.m. A spokesman says Johnson fled the business in a pickup truck after displaying a handgun during the robbery, which only netted him about $230.

He was caught after the ditched the vehicle and broke into a garage at a rural Southeast Rochester home in an attempt to hide from law enforcement officers.
