Alexandria, MN (KROC-AM News) - Five children were transported to a hospital for treatment following a single vehicle crash last night in western Minnesota.

The State Patrol says the children were in a van that was traveling east on I-94 when it left the roadway and rolled before coming to a stop in the right ditch. The crash was reported around 9:45 PM about 2 miles west of the Lake Osakis exit about halfway between Sauk Centre and Alexandria.

The driver of the van was identified as 36-year-old Nicole Gineman of South Elgin Illinois. The injured children are also from the Chicago area community. Their names have not been released.

The State Patrol says the youngest child is an infant girl, and the others are a 2-year-old boy, a 4-year-old girl, a 6-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old girl. They were taken to a hospital in Alexandria with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
