NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA, Minn. (AP) — Carver County sheriff's officials say an off-duty deputy and a man have been injured in a shooting at a gas station in Norwood Young America.

Both are expected to survive their injuries. Authorities say the deputy is from McLeod County and the other person is in his 20s.

Officials say the shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of a Kwik Trip gas station, which is closed as investigators work the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities say a Robbinsdale police officer shot a woman who had a knife and refused to comply with orders.

A statement from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says Robbinsdale Police responded to a home around 5:40 p.m. Thursday after a report of an unwanted person.

The sheriff's office says witnesses saw officers encounter a woman with a knife.

The statement says she refused to comply with officer commands, and an officer shot her. She was taken to a hospital. No information about her condition was released.

No officers were injured.

The sheriff's office is investigating. No further details were immediately released.
