St Cloud Man Seriously Burned in House Fire
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Two people were injured in a house fire in central Minnesota.
The St. Cloud Times reports residents called 911 just before 9:45 a.m. Friday reporting flames at the Haven Township residence in Sherburne County.
According to a news release from Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott, the 57-year-old homeowner, David Shurrum, was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious burns. A 17-year-old girl was treated for minor burns.
Authorities believe the fire started in the basement, where family members had been painting. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
A sign in the driveway and Web listings indicate it housed Yankee Belles, a vintage furniture business.
