Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A sexual assault that occurred at a treatment facility in Rochester last year as resulted in a prison sentence for a Rochester area man.

37-year-old Loren Sarazin earlier entered an Alford plea to a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge involving coercion. The plea deal, announced in February, also led to the dismissal of felony counts of false imprisonment and indecent exposure, along with a gross misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.

The Alford plea means the Spring Valley man does not admit he is guilty but he acknowledges there is sufficient evidence to convict him of the crime.

Court documents alleged the sexual assault occurred at the Oakridge Meridian Treatment Center in northeast Rochester last May. The criminal complaint says a member of the staff at the treatment center reported that Sarazin blocked her from leaving his room while he exposed himself and performed a lewd act.

The woman also told investigators that Sarazin attempted to undress her before she managed to break free and run out of the room.

An Olmsted County Judge today ordered him to serve a 105 month sentence in state prison with credit for the 360 days he has already spent in jail. Sarazin will also be on conditional release for 10 years after he completes his prison term.

His criminal history includes convictions for felony domestic assault, second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, along with burglary, theft, and weapons charges.
