Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minneapolis police and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol are investigating the drowning death of a young girl.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 11-year-old Jocelyn Sanchez-Rosas. A preliminary report on the incident indicates the Minneapolis girl was found off a beach along the northeast shore of Lake Nokomis just after 9 PM on Saturday.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate she had been missing for several hours. The medical examiner’s report lists the manner and cause of her death as accidental drowning.
