Undated (KROC-AM News) - The ongoing drought in Minnesota worsened over the past week.

The new Drought Monitor report from the National Weather Service shows the overall area of the state experiencing at least minor drought conditions was unchanged, but the acreage with severe drought conditions grew from about 30-percent of Minnesota to nearly 40-percent.

Another 45-percent of the state is experiencing moderate drought conditions.

The far southeastern corner of Minnesota, including Rochester, remains the only part of the state that is not experiencing any drought conditions.
