A Cold ( and windy! ) Valentine’s Day

Falling temperatures and increasing winds were reported early Saturday morning all across Minnesota.

It was 13 degrees at the Rochester airport at midnight but then cold air arrived and the mercury fell to zero around sunrise. Northwest winds were blowing at 20 - 30 miles per hour and gusts of 40-miles per hour were being clocked.

A wind chill advisory will be in effect through Sunday morning due to the expected combination of cold air and strong winds.

Temperatures could approach 15 below by sunrise Sunday.
