ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — A St. Cloud woman is charged with third-degree murder in a man's overdose death.

Thirty-five-year-old Amy Wanda Lauer made her first appearance in Stearns County court on Monday. The St. Cloud Times reports the judge set bail at $300,000 without conditions.

According to the criminal complaint, Ryan Stirling Boen had been released from a detox facility on April 19 when he was found dead the next day at a home in St. Cloud.

The complaint says Boen told his mother that Lauer had provided several fentanyl patches to him. Boen was seen chewing on one of the patches, and an autopsy found he died from the narcotic painkiller.

Lauer's next court hearing set for July 11. Her attorney did not immediately return a phone message for comment Monday.
