Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester has been removed from the winter storm warning issued Wednesday by the National Weather Service, apparently because the threat of heavy snow has lessened.

All of southeast Minnesota is now under a winter weather advisory.

As of 4:00 AM, the forecast was calling for snow totals into Thursday afternoon of 2-4 inches for the immediate Rochester area.

It will become windy with falling temps as an approaching cold front will drop the region back into the deep freeze for the MLK weekend.
