Undated (KROC AM News) - Authorities may release information sometime this week related to the discovery of Jacob Wetterling’s remains.

It was confirmed over the weekend the search for the boy who was kidnapped October 1989 near his St. Joseph home had ended.

His remains were found at a farm in the Paynesville area, about 30 miles from the site of the kidnapping. The farm is about about a mile from where a man described as a longtime suspect in the kidnapping was living at the time. That man - Danny Heinrich - apparently led police to the remains last week. He was arrested about a year ago on child pornography charges.
