Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  It was a frosty morning for many areas in southeastern Minnesota Saturday.

The National Weather Service reports most cities in the region experienced overnight low temperatures that fell into the low 30’s. Several had lows that dropped below freezing.

The lowest reading came from Mabel in Fillmore County where the temperature fell to 28 degrees. The lowest readings in Olmsted County came from the Byron and Douglas areas where the mercury fell to 29 degrees.

The overnight low at the Rochester airport was 32 degrees, the coldest it’s been since May 15th (31 degrees).

There will be a threat of frost again Saturday night before warmer air moves into the region.
