EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman says the team is waiting for the process to play out before it can make any definitive statements on the future of suspended running back Adrian Peterson.

The NFL suspended Peterson in December after the former MVP pleaded no contest in Texas to misdemeanor reckless assault against his 4-year-old son. Peterson missed all but one game last season and will not be considered for reinstatement until April 15.

Spielman says he has no doubt Peterson "is going to play at a very high level when he comes back."

When asked if he wants Peterson back on the Vikings, Spielman said, "I don't know if there's a team in the NFL that wouldn't want Adrian Peterson on their football team."
