Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police are working to identify the vandals responsible for damaging a northwest Rochester church Saturday night.

A spokesman says the Rochester Fire Department and police officers were dispatched to St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 1884 22nd Street northwest just before midnight and discovered someone had broken into the building. Inside, they found someone had discharged fire extinguishers throughout the church causing an unknown amount of damage.

The officers also detected the strong odor of burned marijuana in the building, but the vandals had already left.
