Cincinnati, OH (Learfield Sports)  -- Eduardo Nunez went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI as the Minnesota Twins evened their series against the Cincinnati Reds with an 8-5 win on Tuesday.

The Twins pounded out 15 hits to back a quality outing from Phil Hughes. Joe Mauer and Kurt Suzuki both had two hits and two RBI, while Torii Hunter added a solo homer among his three hits. Hughes (7-6) was charged with four runs -- two earned -- on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings, and Minnesota held off a late rally to snap a two-game slide.

Game three is today as Trevor May takes the mound against the Red’s Johnny Cueto.  Pre-game coverage begins at 11 o'clock this morning with the first pitch is at 11:35 a.m.

Santana Final Tune Up

Rochester, NY (Learfield Sports)  -- Ervin Santana pitched eight shutout innings on a rehab assignment for the Rochester Red Wings last night as he gets ready to return from his 80-game suspension. Santana allowed five hits and no walks as the Red Wings beat Pawtucket 1-0. Santana is expected to make his debut for the Twins on Sunday in Kansas City. Santana was suspended on April 3 after testing positive for steroids. He signed as a free agent in the off season inking a four year, $55 million deal.
