Hastings, MN (Learfield Wire Service)  -- A 36-year-old special education teacher from South St. Paul is charged in Dakota County with robbing a Walgreens store -- twice.

Melanie Sue Parkin is charged with the same crime in Washington County. Witnesses tell police Parkin showed a handgun and demanded oxy-codone pain medication. The robberies were reported December 12th and January 14th. She was arrested Monday when she allegedly tried to rob the Walgreens in Woodbury.

Parkin's next court appearance is scheduled for March 16th in Dakota County court.
