PLYMOUTH, Minn. (AP) — The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says the man who was struck and killed by a car while running near Plymouth was a cardiologist.

Fifty-seven-year-old Brian Lew was out for a run near his home last Thursday when he was struck by an 80-year-old driver from Loretto. Lew was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale where he died.

Lew was affiliated with the University of Minnesota Physicians network.
