Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Olmsted County deputies were busy overnight dealing with a traffic wreck involving more than 600 turkeys.

The turkeys had been picked up from a farm in rural Olmsted County and the truck ended up flipping on its side on 100th Ave SE,  a few miles south of Marion.  Deputies were called to the scene around 11 p.m. and were there for about 4 hours as the caged turkeys were transferred to another truck.

The Owatonna man driving the truck that crashed suffered minor injuries.

It’s not known if any of the turkeys were killed.
