Wabasha, MN (KROC AM News) - A tracking device helped Wabasha and Olmsted County investigators round up two suspects in a series of construction site burglaries.

Olmsted County investigators began focusing on a Rochester man and were able to place a tracking device on a truck he had been driving. The device helped identify 25-year-old Matthew Tlougan as the person who stole items worth $35,000 from a solar farm construction site in Wabasha County on Sept 29th. Also helping in identifying Tlougan was surveillance video and an employee who was sleeping in a trailer at the site. The worker was able to get a description of the thief.

Meanwhile, criminal complaints filed in Olmsted County Court last week indicate Tlougan and 24-year-old Justin Quam of Byron were involved in thefts and extensive damage to homes that were under construction in Oronoco last month. So far, only Quam has been charged in that case.

The two are also suspects in several other construction site thefts reported in rural areas of Olmsted County during the last few months.
