Minneapolis (KROC AM News) -  The last time the Minnesota Timberwolves were in the playoffs was 2004 - when Flip Saunders was in his first stint as head coach and Kevin Garnett was in the prime of his career.

The drought finally ended Wednesday night when they beat Denver 112-106 in OT in front of a sold out and loud Target Center crowd.

Denver played hard as the Nuggets were also fighting for the final playoff spot in the NBA.

Minnesota’s postseason run could be a short one as they will face the Houston Rockets, the best team in the league.

The first game will be played in Houston Sunday night.
