The daily number of Minnesotans applying for unemployment insurance has been on the decline since Friday, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
Minnesota’s economy posted a seasonally adjusted net gain of 3600 jobs in April but state analysts say the job market in Minnesota continued to exhibit signs of softness last month.
The unemployment rate in the Rochester area moved higher in March, which is a month during which the jobless rate is most often steady or drops slightly.
