La Crosse, WI (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service is advising people living in southeastern Minnesota to keep an eye on the sky, particularly Sunday night.

The forecast for the weekend includes a good chance of thunderstorms beginning early Sunday morning. Forecasters say the highest risk in this region is centered in Iowa, but locally severe weather will be possible Sunday evening in southeastern Minnesota. The National Weather Service says conditions will be favorable for the formation of storms that could produce large hail, damaging winds and even isolated tornado activity.

The forecast for the Rochester area indicates the best chance of storms will be Sunday morning and Sunday evening.
