Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - The strong thunderstorms moved across Minnesota Sunday evening are blamed for the death of a rural Winona man.

The Winona County Sheriff’s Department says 66-year-old Raymond Bronk was driving on a County Road just north of Winona around 7:30 p.m. when strong winds apparently knocked over a large tree, which fell onto the passenger compartment of his pickup truck.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
