Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The State Patrol has released the name of the Byron man who was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash north of Rochester.

The deadly collision occurred around 7:30pm on Highway 63 between County Road 21 and Highway 247.

The State Patrol says 26-year-old Nicholas Hamblin was driving a Honda Civic and was heading north when he crossed over the centerline and smashed into a southbound pickup driven by 63-year-old Jerome Walch of Rochester. He and his wife, 56-year-old Julie Walch, were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
